The main priority list for any individual or any group is :-
1) Water- a individual needs approximately 4.5 litres per day per person. This includes for cooking and drinking. A large group can pool their cooking needs,
2) Water purification. The ability to purify wate r is critical. You may use home made filters, sawyers, life straw, water drop filters and water purification tablets.
3) Food, The ability to have a well stocked pantry and also supplement with foraged food sources from the local environment is critical . Also having a garden to grow you own food is important.
4) Cooking the water is important, you use a simple camping stove, wood stove , gel stove, alcohol stove to full size dual burner camping stove.
5) A get home bag from where you work to where live is important . The size of the bag is dictated by the distance and environment.
6) A bug out bag to evacuate your from your location is important in case the worst happens. This may mean evacuation from your home, due to gas leak, chemical spillage and or natural disasters such as rivers bursting banks .
7 ) Medication and First aid kit . Having a stockpile of your medication and first aid kit is important. It will take time to bring your medication up to stockpile of upto 2 years .
8) Power and lighting sources . Charging communication devices and lighting sources. This includes power banks and having led lanterns. Good fashioned old style paraffin lanterns will be immensely useful.
